Get To Know PGDiamond

PGDiamond is a contemporary mixed-media artist whose work is deeply rooted in memory, emotion, and storytelling. Born in Queens, New York, and raised across diverse landscapes of North America — from Puerto Rico and Louisiana to Montana and Canada — PGDiamond’s creative voice is shaped by a life rich in cultural experiences and movement.

Her heritage reflects a vibrant tapestry: an African American mother with Cherokee roots and a First Nations Mi’gmaq father. Growing up in a dynamic, nomadic household instilled in her a unique perspective on identity and belonging — themes that often find their way into her art.

Largely self-taught, PGDiamond has explored a wide range of styles and techniques, allowing her work to evolve into an expressive fusion of color, texture, and symbolism. Each piece tells a story, inviting viewers into a world where imagination meets memory. Her art has attracted national attention, and she continues to create passionately from her studio while balancing full-time work and motherhood.

“My paintings are almost always inspired by a sense of moment as I remember the past. I look inside for inspiration — never knowing when it will come, though it does come often.” – PGDiamond

Her Mission

At PGDiamond Arts Studio & Shop, we believe art is more than something you see — it’s something you feel. It’s the language of the soul, the spark that ignites imagination, and the bridge that connects us to who we truly are. Every brushstroke, every design, every creation is born from a place of freedom, intuition, and heart.

This space was built to celebrate individuality — to remind you that it’s okay to think outside the box, to break the mold, and to show up exactly as you are. Here, self-expression isn’t just welcomed — it’s the norm. Each piece of original artwork shared with the world is an invitation to explore, to dream, and to embrace the beauty of being unapologetically you.

But our vision goes beyond the canvas. Through the PGDiamond Creative Kids Foundation, 50% of profits from our collections help fund creative programs and activities for children, giving them the chance to discover their own voices and the magic of their imagination. Because we believe every child deserves the opportunity to create, to express, and to know the limitless joy that art can bring.

And because creativity thrives in connection, we’ve created the Be Free BU (Be Free • Be You) blog — a growing community space to share stories, spark conversations, and support one another as we learn to honor our truest selves and celebrate the beauty in our differences.

PGDiamond Arts Studio & Shop is more than a store — it’s a movement. A celebration of creativity, a home for originality, and a heartfelt mission to inspire a world where art touches every soul it meets and self-expression becomes a way of life.
